Aphelandra // squarrosa

Common name: Zebra plant, Snow White

Often confused with the Calathea Zebrina, this snow white plant comes from the Brazilian rain forest. They are mainly grown for their bright yellow flowers that may be a bit hard to bloom in indoor conditions. Their water intake requires a bit of practice to master, so don't be scared if you initially see a few leaves falling as they adjust.

They prefer bright rooms with indirect sun, but can tolerate slightly low light conditions.

Water
Keep the soil slightly moist as they like high humidity but careful it's not too soggy.

This plant requires a bit of care, especially with watering.
