Sansevieria masoniana

The whale fin snake, or Sansevieria masoniana, is a unique species of snake plant that is popular for its large, paddle-shaped leaves that resemble a whale's fin. This plant is native to Africa and can grow up to 4 feet tall and 2 feet wide in the right conditions. It is a low-maintenance plant that thrives in bright, indirect light, but can also tolerate lower light conditions, and prefers to be watered sparingly, allowing the soil to fully dry out between waterings. Additionally, snake plants are excellent air purifiers, removing toxins such as formaldehyde, benzene, and trichloroethylene from the air.

Care and Maintenance

This plant is genuinely versatile and can handle all light conditions. Keep it on the dry side as it has large root balls that store water for drought conditions.
