Our subscription is designed as a program to put your plant-related anxieties at ease. To start, we’ll send you hard-to-kill plants. Then as we build your confidence, we’ll slowly introduce you to more exotic species while continuing to provide instructions on how to sustain your plants and build lasting plant-care habits. Depending on the plan you choose, you will receive a plant with a 6" clay pot and saucer. Some months we send fun exercises along with planting tools/accessories, and you may not receive a 6" pot.
Plants are sensitive creatures, which is why we prefer to deliver them in-person. There are two options for receiving your plants. If you choose pick-up (the most economical option), we'll send you an invite each month with a few times you can drop-in to Horti Play to pick-up your plant and meet other plant parents. If you choose drop-off, we'll send you monthly schedulers to make it easy to receive your plants at home. Our NYC plans are currently available in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens. Please check this map to see if we deliver to your area. The delivery range is based on multiple factors like transit time/ease, messenger service, toll prices, etc. If you are not in the listed areas you can still get plants delivered to you by choosing our plans from 'Rest of the U.S.', where orders are shipped through USPS.
Choose from our signature hand-painted white terracotta pot, or get a different color pot each month (currently 4 colors available). For a more economical option, we now have plain, unpainted terracotta pots, as well as an option to receive 2 naked plants that come in the plastic grow pot each month.
There are no forced commitments. You can skip a kit or cancel anytime before the 25th of the month.
Note regarding pet-friendly plants:
We have crosschecked each plant species with ASCPA's library of non-toxic plants, and rest assured, none of them will cause any harm if ingested. But please be advised that even though a plant is non-toxic, the consumption of any plant material may still cause vomiting and gastrointestinal upset for dogs and cats.
