Zamia // furfuracea

Commonly known as: Cardboard Palm

The cardboard palm is not actually a palm at all, but a cycad. Its misleading nickname is probably from the plant's similar growth pattern to a palm. This shrub-like plant is a semi-succulent that holds water in its thick trunk and has leaves that actually have a fuzzy cardboard texture!

Water
Water thoroughly when the top layer of soil feels dry. Keep the bulbs connecting the stems slightly above the soil.
